Samsung starts rolling out November Security Patch on Galaxy A7 (2017)

Samsung starts rolling out Android security patch for the month of Galaxy A7 (2017). Samsung till now only gives the november security update to Galaxy A5 2017, Galaxy Note 5 and Galaxy S7 and S7 Edge. However, This year’s flagship devices are still waiting for the update.

 

Coming back to this one, the update comes with software build number A720FXXU2BQK2. The update packs with weighs around 330 MB in size. It packs with november security patch which includes fixes for 61 vulnerabilities found in the Android OS. Patches for six vulnerabilities in Samsung’s software are included as well. The update also contain a fix that blocks the Krack WPA2 vulnerability.

The Update is rolling out all over the world over the air. So don’t panic if it does not appear on your phone right away. The update will reach you in next couple of days. meanwhile you can always check it by going through the settings>>about phone>> software updates.

While downloading make sure you are on Wifi network as it is a large update. Before start installing the update make sure you charged your phone at least up to 50%. Moreover, this year flagship devices from samsung, Galaxy Note 8, Galaxy S8 and S8+ might get november security update anytime from now.
