We have seen a lot of Smartphone prototype and designs according to which smartphones with foldable displays are not too far from us. A lot of brands including Motorola, Huawei, Oppo, etc have already patented certain technologies on which development is going on. This time some new details are coming about Samsung. As suggested by some sources Samsung will soon gonna start production of the Foldable displays, so let’s know more about it.
As per a Korean source named ETNews, Samsung is all prepared to start the mass production of foldable displays for its smartphones and other devices. The source also reveals that these foldable displays will come with OLED technology. We all have already witnessed the curved displays in current devices and it looks like Foldable display technology is on its way. Samsung might use it first in the rumored Samsung X smartphone.
The foldable display technology will help a lot because using it there is no need to carry big screen gadgets. Instead of that one can easily extend the display by simply unfolding it. Some renders have also suggested that Samsung may be working on a vertical foldable screen but as per our opinion, it wouldn’t make any sense in real time. As per other rumors, the first foldable display device from Samsung is expected to appear officially in the first month of 2019. In 2018 the major trend followed by almost every brand is Dual-Camera, Bezel-less display. However, it looks like the upcoming trend will belong to foldable devices.
