Samsung recently launched its New Universal Flash Storage (UFS) cards. Since then all us are curious about these Cards. So Now again news came out that Samsung will develop a 2-in-1 slot for UFS and microSD memory Cards.
Droid Life confirms that Samsung says-
“The new UFS cards are not compatible with the current microSD card socket. However, we have developed a socket design that can support both UFS cards and microSD cards. We are working with different partners in the industry on this integration for next-generation devices.”
The Universal flash storage(UFS) memory cards works as fast as the SSD storage in the computers. You can read a 5 GB movie in 10 seconds, or shoot and write to it RAW photos in sequential bursts. Samsung measures 530 MB/s sequential read speeds and 170 MB/s write speeds of UFS memory Cards.
Still there is no information on Price and availability date in the market. As Galaxy Note 7 is up for Launch in few weeks so it might be a chance that it becomes the first smartphone to gets the compatibility of UFS cards.
