Snapchat is having a bad time for a few months now. The social platform lost many users and gained less new users when compared to those of rivals like Instagram. To improve this, the app went a design makeover which received and still receiving negative feedback from the users. And now Snapchat adds support for group video chats to the app amidst the current situation.
The group video chat works the same like it does on any other social platform. A maximum of 16 members can participate in the group video chat. Even, users can opt for an audio-only chat with a maximum of 32 members.
To start a group video or audio chat, the user must be a member of a group or should a create a group to do so. Then, tap on the video or phone icon to initiate the video or audio chat respectively. All the members of the group will be notified about the chat and they could respond as per their choice. The users can even use lenses during the video chat.
According to Snapchat, this new group video chat feature will be rolling out to the users globally starting this week. However, it might take weeks to hit every regions.
