Sony Xperia P Getting ICS Update

Sony Xperia P is getting Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich. Regarding update there were various rumors but today its here on its due date. Update is rolling to some users but all users around the Globe will be covered in 1-2 weeks. The update will not reach phones over the air in all regions, however, and some may need to access it through Sony’s PC Companion software.

New features that arrive with the ICS update to the Sony Xperia P include improved functionality on the lock screen, improved control over mobile data consumption, new media apps ‘WALKMAN’, ‘Movies’, and ‘Albums, an extended standby mode to increase standby time up to 4x depending on data consumption and user profile, a recent apps button for a clear overview of apps, and resizeable widgets.
