Sony is on a streak as they announced three new devices at MWC 2014 in Barcelona. Similarly like Xperia Z, Sony announced the Z2 mobile device along with the Z2 tablet device. Along with this new high end series Sony also announced Xperia M2 which is low end device to compete with Moto G.
Let’s first begin with Sony Xperia z2 which is a successor to the Xperia Z1. Sony Xperia Z2 packs a 20.7MP camera which has been updated with 4K video recording (at 30fps) and a number of new effects. The Z2 is waterproof, like the Z1 phones, and its screen is slightly larger, at 5.2 inches diagonally instead of 5 inches. Also Sony has embedded the new beast, a new quad-core Snapdragon 801 processor clocked at 2.3GHz in to the Sony Xperia Z2. To boost up the hardcore Snapdragon 801 processor there’s also a 3GB RAM bolted on the board.
The phone will launch in March at €600 / £600. The initial color options are White, Black and Purple. Here are some images of the Sony Xperia Z2 Phone:
Now coming onto Sony Xperia Z2 Tablet which packs same configuration with slight change in specs and display size. Sony Xperia Z2 tablet framed with a 10.1″ Full HD (1920 x 1200px) display and same four Krait 400 cores clocked at 2.3GHz, Adreno 330 graphics and 3GB of RAM. It will be available in two versions Wi-Fi only and an LTE-enabled.
It hits all the right notes, and even comes preloaded with OfficeSuite Pro 7 for the business minded folks. Sony Xperia Z2 Tablet will be available in black and white. It will hit the shelves this March, while the pricing is yet to be detailed.

Sony also launched the Xperia M2, a mid-range device that seems to directly target the Moto G based upon its platform and spec. It features a 4.8-inch qHD (540×960 pixels) display, and is powered by a 1.2GHz quad-core Snapdragon 400 processor (MSM8926 for 4G LTE, MSM8226 for 3G) coupled with an Adreno 305 GPU and 1GB of RAM. The Xperia M2 features 8GB of built-in storage, with microSD card expansion up to 32GB. Sony’s Xperia M2, meanwhile, is meant as a cheaper alternative to the Z2. Its camera isn’t as powerful, at only 8 megapixels, and the screen is only 4.8 inches.
As according to the press release the Xperia M2 will also come in dual SIM variant as Xperia M2 Dual SIM in coming months. SO we have to wait for that variant.
As per the details Xperia M2 will be available in the month of April. Sony did not immediately announce prices or specific U.S. plans. Sony sometimes makes phones available in the U.S. later than elsewhere around the world. Here are few images of the Sony Xperia M2:
