Sony‘s much rumored selfie-centered phone, the Xperia C3 is finally announced. Sony had promised us yesterday that it’ll unveil the device today and they have stuck to their promise. The phone, which had been in news for being able to click the ‘best selfies ever’ is now official and is named the Xperia C3.
The device comes with a 5.5″ IPS display which makes the device quite big but still offers a resolution of 720 p. Under the hood, you’ll find a Snapdragon 400 chipset with quad-core Cortex-A7 processor clocked at 1.2 GHz and an Adreno 305 GPU. You’ll also have 1 GB of RAM and 8 GB of expandable storage memory to go with it. The device, which stands just 7.6 mm thin also boasts of an 8 MP shutter on its back with an LED flash.
Now coming to what makes the device so special, its 5 MP front-facing camera with a 25 mm wide lens and a ‘soft’ LED flashlight which is something unique. The front camera comes with a Special Auto mode but misses out on the auto-focus feature.

The device will reportedly be available in black, white and mint color schemes but you’ll have to wait a while before you can get your hands on one. The device will roll out in August and China will be the first nation to get it.
