Spotify and Hulu partners to offer their services at $4.99/month to the US students

Spotify has put up an irresistible deal for school students in the US ahead of the opening school season. The music streaming service is giving away its Premium subscription for $4.99 per month coupled with a Hulu subscription completely free. The Hulu plan you will get with it is the base level one.

Normally, Spotify Premium alone costs $9.99 per month and the Hulu base level plan called “limited commercial” runs for $7.99/month. So, you can see there is a 70% discount and making it a pretty good deal.

Furthermore, if you are already subscribed to the Spotify student deal, you will get Hulu automatically with this new subscription. On the other hand, if you are subscribed to Hulu, you can merge your old plan with this new Spotify offer. Before proceeding, note that once subscribed to the limited plan, users won’t be able to upgrade to commercial-free plan.

Spotify Premium lets you use the service on all your devices without ads and supports offline caching, playlists and a lot of other stuff.

Although, Spotify will first verify genuine College students by scanning them through a service called SheerID. When verified, users get a subscription for 12 months. After that, they have to re-verify or else pay the usual cash for the premium deal. If you have more questions Spotify has a FAQ page for you here.
