The Best of Android or the Best of BlackBerry?

If you are still looking for the right Smartphone to purchase to become part of your business communication system, then why not consider two of the most hyped up smartphones in the market today? We are talking about the BlackBerry Z10 and the Google Nexus 4. The first is much hyped up because it is the first Smartphone in a long time by the failing Canadian company (BlackBerry, formerly Research in Motion), which features an all-touchscreen design. The Google Nexus 4, on the other hand has boosted publicity for its affordable price and the fact the Google wanted to increase Android phone usage all over the globe.

The two smartphones occupy a league of their own, which makes comparisons in some of the specifications difficult to do. Yet here are some of the aspects by which we placed the BlackBerry Z10 and the Google Nexus 4 for your consideration:

Design: The BlackBerry Z10 has a more professional feel to it, with its rectangular body that closely resembles the iPhone 5. It comes in black and white colors. As has been mentioned before, this device is the first all-touchscreen Smartphone of BlackBerry, lacking the famed physical keyboard of the company. Aesthetically, the Z10’s design is clean, simple and functional. It measures 130 x 65.6 x 9mm and weighs 137.5, making it smaller and lighter than the Nexus 4.

The Google Nexus 4, meanwhile, has a unibody design that lacks a removable back panel, making it feel sturdy and durable. It is slightly larger and heavier than the BlackBerry Z10 at 133.9 x 68.7 x 9.1mm and 139g, respectively.

Display specifications: The Google Nexus 4 sports a larger 4.7” display that has a pixel density of 320ppi for a resolution of 1280 x 768p. Meanwhile, the BlackBerry 10 features a 4.2” panel that has a similar resolution, giving it a pixel density of 355ppi, making it more preferable to Nexus 4 in terms of display quality.

Performance: The Google Nexus 4 is the faster Smartphone of the two, with its 1.5GHz quad-core processor fitted with 2GB of RAM. On the other hand, the blackberry Z10 sports a 1.5GHz dual-core chip that also has 2GB of RAM.

Price: Without a doubt, if you are going to select a Smartphone right now by virtue of its price, then the Google Nexus is the best decision over the BlackBerry Z10, which is almost double the price of the former in an off-contract transaction. There is a bit of good news, though. The prices of the two smartphones are significantly slashed if you enter into a contract with network carriers, with the Google Nexus 4 even fetching for free.

Camera: Both smartphones sports an 8MP rear-facing camera, though the BlackBerry Z10 has a slightly larger front-facing camera with 2MP resolution as opposed to Google Nexus 4’s 1.3MP camera shooter. Both are equipped with an LED flash.

Call Quality: The BlackBerry Z10 and the Google Nexus 4 both have excellent call quality, with the voice clear and devoid of distortions and background noise. This makes these devices perfect as a mobile platform for your business phone service.

Software: It is difficult to assess and compare these two handsets in terms of operating system, since they have greatly dissimilar OS. The Nexus 4 features the latest Android 4.2 Jelly Bean operating system while the BlackBerry Z10 sports the brand new BlackBerry 10 operating system.
