Viber, originally developed and owned by an Israeli family which was later bought by a Japanese company named Rakuten updated their app to add some more functionalities. Today, it has received a new update to Version 7.7.0 with some new changes and enhancements.
The new update brings the familiar features which we already enjoy in other instant messaging apps. Such as broadcasting messages to number of contacts, replying to specific messages in the groups similar to WhatsApp. After updating the Viber, admins can now pin important messages in the groups. The pinned messages will be displayed at the top of the conversation in a banner.
The above mentioned features will surely help the users in many ways such as being less confused in group chats and to keep up to date with the important messages. It will also provide an hassle free way to send messages to number of people without creating groups.
It is good to know that they are trying to catch up with the competition among the already crowded instant messaging apps. As we say, it is better be late than never trying new. Though they are behind the competition, Viber provide better voice call quality over other counterparts.
