The Chinese company has named it as TOF 3D sensing technology. TOF stands for Time of Flight and revealed it at MWC event in Shanghai held recently.

What is Vivo TOF 3D Sensing technology ?

The new technology works through the camera and can capture 3D information about people and objects in depth. The time taken for emitted pulse light to come back can be detected using it. Several appliances like AR, imaging and human-machine interaction can use this technology and will make it’s usage better.

Even mapping objects can be possible at a distance of three meters. 3D facial recognition for authentication will now be better after using it.

At the moment we are not sure regarding the release of a new smartphone using this technology. But we can say one thing that this technology is revolutionary. If you have any other details about this technology you can share in the comments section.
