The 4G era ushered in by Reliance Jio has brought some really sweet fruits for Indian users. One of them is the affordable rate 4G smartphones are now offered at. In order to counter the 4G Jio Phone, Vodafone has teamed up with Micromax in one such offer.
Under the new partnership, existing and new Vodafone customers can get cash back when buying ultra-cheap 4G phones from Micromax. These handsets include Bharat 2 Plus, Bharat 3, Bharat 4and Canvas -1. However, to avail cashback buyers will have to do a recharge of at least Rs 150/- per month for 36 months straight. At the end of 36 months, a total of Rs 2,200 will be credited to user’s M-Pesa wallets.
The latest offering of the duo is the Bharat 2 Ultra smartphone with Vodafone Utranet 4G. It is the cheapest 4G phone offered at Rs 999.
Avneesh Khosla, Associate Director – Consumer Business, Vodafone India said, “This is an initiative to democratize access to Vodafone SuperNet 4G. Recently though our partnership with Micromax, we launched the most affordable smartphone in the country at a very attractive price of Rs 999/-.
