The Redmi 5A in Lake Blue color is stunning as its other bigger siblings like the Redmi Note 5, Redmi Note 5 Pro and last year’s Redmi Note 4. Hence, this color variant is not new to the Indian citizens. However, specifications-wise the device remains the same. It is powered by the same Qualcomm Snapdragon 425 processor coupled with either 2GB or 3GB of RAM. The former comes with 16GB of internal storage whereas the later boasts slightly larger internal storage of 32GB.

As for the front, it sports a 5 inch HD display and a 5MP camera above it. The back of the device is made up of polycarbonate with a metallic look and has a 13MP camera with LED flash. Like any entry-level smartphone, it doesn’t come with a fingerprint sensor. The phone runs on MIUI 9 based on Android Nougat. It also has a dedicated microSD card slot along with dual SIM slot. Finally, the whole package is backed by a 3,000 mAh battery.

The new Lake Blue color variant along with the already available Grey, Gold, and Rose Gold will go on for sale every Thursdays. The next sale will be on March 22 and one will be able to buy it from Mi.com and Flipkart.
