Xiaomi Mi 6 And Mi Max 2 starts getting MIUI 9 Global Stable ROM update

Finally after three months Xiaomi starts rolling out MIUI 9 Global Stable ROM for its Mi 6 and Mi MAX 2. MIUI 9 was launched back in July 2017. However, Xiaomi has announced that MIUI 9 roll out will start from 2nd November 2017.

MIUI 9 features a Xiaomi has optimised the system to enable faster app loading and boost performance. Xiaomi has finally worked on its issues of poor RAM management. It also includes faster app load times, new design elements, lock-screen shortcuts, split-screen feature(basically a nougat feature), and more. Along with some new features, a lot of the existing ones have also been improved, including Silent/DND timer, floating notifications, button and gesture shortcuts, among others.

Currently the update is rolling out in India. Apart from India we don’t have any information for the other regions getting MIUI 9. As it will be rolled out in batches, if you did not get the update notification don’t get panic. You will get it in couple of days, however you can always check it manually by going through the settings>>about phone>>software updates.

For Reminder Xiaomi Mi 6 was launched in April 2017. It features 5.15 inches IPS LCD capacitive touchscreen display. It is powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 chipset and pairs with 6GB of RAM with 64/128 GB of internal memory. The Xiaomi Mi 6 packs a Dual 12 MP primary camera and 8 MP of secondary camera.  The Phone is backs up by the 3350mAh and runs on Android 7.1.1 Nougat out of the box.
