The Android Oreo beta update for Mi A1 weighs at 1104.1 MB. The update is only seeding out to the selected users who had applied for beta tester. According to some beta testers, this update fixes issues with fingerprint sensor which took more time to unlock. But, has some bugs and glitches here and there.

As Mi A1 is an Android One smartphone, it runs on stock Android similar to the Pixels and Nexuses. Thus, the software experience is similar to those devices. Because of Android One programme, Xiaomi also entered other new regions which was not possible earlier. The phone is powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 625 processor and comes with dual cameras (wide + telephoto) at a pocket friendly price. Also, the device gets permanent price cut of Rs. 1,000 in India which changes the price to Rs.13,999 .
