It’s not a secret that Xiaomi had a new series on its warehouse dubbed as Mi CC series. The Chinese firm has now made the CC devices official by announcing two new devices – the Mi CC9 and CC9e. In China, the Mi CC9 starts at 1,799 Yuan and comes with myriads of color options.xiaomi mi cc9, cc9e debuts in china, starts at 1,299 yuan

The Mi CC9 is the powerful among the two, with the CC9e being less powerful and cheap than the CC9. Both of them are mid-range devices with mid-tier Qualcomm Snapdragon Mobile Platfrom at their heart. Let’s see what all do the devices bring to the table.

Xiaomi Mi CC9

Beginning with the bigger model, the Mi CC9. The Qualcomm Snapdragon 710 powered device has a 6.39-inch Infinity-V sAMOLED display made by Samsung of course. With FHD+ resolution, the display covers 91% of the front portion. It comes in two storage variants of 64GB and 128GB, with 6GB RAM in common. The 64GB is priced at 1,799 Yuan (around 18,000) while the beefed up variant is up at 1,999 Yuan (around 20,000)

The Mi CC9 gets its juice by a 4,030mAh battery with fast charging support upto 18W. It runs Android Pie with MIUI 10 custom UI running atop. In terms of optics, the smartphone’s rear camera setup comprises a 1/2-inch 48MP primary rear camera with the pixel size of 1.6 microns. The main sensor is accompanied by an 8MP wide angle sensor and a 2MP depth sensor.

The Mi CC9 color options are exciting, at least the marketing jargon used by Xiaomi. Well, the Mi CC9 can be availed in three different hues – Lover, Blue Planet and Dark Prince. The Blue Planet colour variant has a dark blue colour that creates wavy 3D-light refraction patterns similar to the Redmi K20.

Xiaomi Mi CC9e

The Mi CC9e perhaps boards a slightly powerful Qualcomm Snapdragon 665 compared to the 710 on CC9. As you can expect, the CC9e gets a smaller 6.08-inch sAMOLED display with the same brightness, resolution and aspect ratio of that of the CC9e.  Xiaomi provides three storage option for the CC9e – 4GB/64GB, 6GB/64GB and 6GB/128GB.

As an icing on the cake, Xiaomi hasn’t cut the corner at least in battery and camera department as the CC9e is backed by the same battery capacity as the Mi CC9, 4,030mAh just in case if you forgot. Also, the the same camera setup both at front and rear.

The Mi CC9e is priced at 1,299 Yuan (around 13,000) for the 4GB/64GB variant, 1,399 Yuan (around 14,000) for the 6GB/64GB variant and 1,599 Yuan (around 16,000) for the 6GB/128GB variant.
