Back to back teasers from Xiaomi is pouring out a lot of information regarding the upcoming Mi Mix 2S. Earlier, a teaser posted on the Chinese social media website, Weibo possibly revealed the bottom bezel placement of front facing camera on the device. Now, a newly posted teaser on the same website has something interesting to reveal about the wireless charging support on this extremely bezel less device. Here’s the Xiaomi Mi Mix 2S teaser:
What you’ve to say about the above teaser. Isn’t it clear enough to deduce that the Xiaomi is here teasing the wireless charging capability? Well yes, since all most all top-tier vendors have already upgraded at least one of their device to support cordless charging, this move from the Xiaomi shouldn’t be much surprising.
Also, a recent firmware teardown by some folks over at XDA had also hinted about Xiaomi’s intention to launch a wireless charging compatible device. Moreover Xiaomi’s recent membership in Energy Power Consortium, which at this moment are altogether in favour of the Xiaomi Mi Mix 2S wireless charging support.
Let’s for the time being assume that the Mi Mix 2S will be a Qi charging enabled device. And at its face value, the device could be probably build on glass back body, alike currently existing wireless charging capable devices. Such that we can title the Mi Mix 2S as not only the first Mi device to support wireless charging. But also a device build of glass design body.
That said, all hot rumors and speculations will come to an end when Xiaomi raises the curtain from Mi Mix 2S at an event scheduled on March 27 in Shanghai.
