Xiaomi Redmi Note 4X getting updated to MIUI 8.2.10.0

The Redmi Note 4X which was released in February 2017 is getting a new update. Sadly it isn’t the Nougat update but rather a bug-fixing security patch. The update arrives as version 8.2.10.0 and has the May Security patch packed with it. Also, the update is appearing for the 3GB model that has the Snapdragon 625, not the 4GB. The update also fixes some bugs in the lock screen status bar and notification bar.

redmi note 4x updateIt is sad to see Xiaomi not committing an OS upgrade to one of its better selling devices in China. Even when we see Samsung updating some mid-range devices at this point in time. There is no official word on Android Nougat schedule for the Redmi Note 4X.

The Redmi Note 4X comes with a 5.5-inch Full HD display, 3GB/4GB of RAM, a 4,100 mAh battery and Snapdragon 625 on board. It has a 13 MP camera at the back with f/2.0 aperture and a 5MP camera at the front for selfies. It is a full metal body phone costing 180 euros.

You can manually check for the update by going to the Settings menu on your device.
