Xiaomi Redmi Note 8 Pro starts receiving stable Android 10 update

After rigorous testing of the Android 10 Beta builds, the Chinese company is now rolling out a stable Android 10 update on Redmi Note 8 Pro. Falling in the line with a recent tweet from Xiaomi Indonesia GM Alvin Tse, Xiaomi globally started rolling out Android 10.

Remi Note 8 Pro is receiving firmware version MIUI 11.0.2.0.QGGEUXM along with the February 2020 Security Patch. The fully feature-packed update weighs 1.9GB in size. There are many new changes including improved security features and performance tweaks. It packs all the luxuries of Android 10 along with the final touches from Redmi.

The new update also brings support for Widevine DRM L1 certification opening doors for HD streaming. Redmi is gradually rolling out the new update to all the units around the globe. Most of the European users are receiving the update after the successful rollout in China.

Redmi is actively rolling out new updates for its smartphones. It may take some time to reach each unit across the globe. We suggest you switch the WiFi network to save additional carrier data costs. The users can manually check the update by heading to Settings > About Menu > System Updates >Check for updates.

Redmi Note 8 Pro Features

Redmi Note 8 Pro features a 6.53-inch IPS LCD display having 1080 x 2340 pixels resolution and Corning Gorilla Glass. Redmi used Mediatek Helio G90T chipset featuring an octa-core processor and Mali-G76 MC4. There’s a quad-camera module featuring 64MP + 8MP + 2MP + 2MP lens and a 20MP lens on the front for selfies.
