Just a day or two earlier, Chinese MNC, Gionee teased a bezel-less phone called Gionee M7 on its Weibo handle. The teaser image made it obvious that this would be an all-screen phone. A first from the company. However, no ETA was announced for the official unveiling, though we did know it was close.
Now, we have a date of launch for the newcomer. The new set of images appeared via rumored gold mine over Weibo. Apparently, the name of the phone is now confirmed as Gionee M7 Power. Also, the unveiling event will be held on September 28 in Thailand, not in China. These seem to be official invites from the Chinese smartphone maker. As per the invites, Gionee has trademarked its display as “FullView”.
The device also gave a brief visit to GFXBench with its 18:9 aspect ratio and a 6-inch screen. It will boast of a MediaTek MT6758 processor clocked at 2.3 GHz along with Mali G71 GPU and 6GB of RAM. There was another listing as well that showed a 4 GB version. That means Gionee has two variants of the same phone coming up. Either way, we will find out in due time.
