Taiwanese smartphone maker HTC has announced that the HTC 10, HTC One A9 and the HTC One M9 will be the first three smartphone models of the company to receive the newest version of Google’s popular Android operating system, officially named Android Nougat (Android N).
In a recent post on the company’s official twitter handle @htc, has revealed that the three devices would get a taste of the new Android N first. However, it did not give out any specific dates as Google is yet to announce an official release date or a release window for the Android Nougat 7.0 version.
Officially launched at the Google HQ in California, Android Nougat is currently on its fourth developer preview stage with an official release expected around fall this year.
Additional devices to receive the OS update will be disclosed later this year when Google ships Android N to manufacturers, the HTC account tweeted in response to multiple user queries.
