HTC and Updates hadn’t had the good story, with  providing OTA’s and Updates very rare. And it has often being the negative  impact of HTC, which other companies like to take the edge for the competition. But lucky for the HTC One X folks, they are receiving the major Sense 5 update from HTC as they promised. The Sense 5 UI is one of the best UI’s out there in the markets, with so much customizations and awesome new features, it’s very hard to pass on it. At this point, the update seems to be live in Nordic countries and Eastern Europe but other regions should receive the update in the coming days.

Like all major HTC updates, it is also being released over-the-air and in batches, so you will receive a notification on your HTC One X once the update is ready for your phone. You can also manually check for the update by going to Settings > About Phone >System Updates. So it would be more lucky for the HTC One X folks to get a makeover of the device with Sense 5.

Folks over XDA Forums, stated out that the update carries over 380 Mb, with system firmware number 4.18.401.2.

As can be seen in the picture above, the update brings lock-screen widgets, notification shade toggles along with Sense 5 customisations like Blinkfeed, video highlights and music channel. It also has some tweaks in the status bar along with some system optimisation. HTC One X+ is also expected to get the same update in Europe very soon.
