HTC U11 starts receiving August security patch update

HTC U11, the HTC flagship launched just recently on May this year is now getting the latest security enhancements. An OTA update weighing nearly 243MB brings August security patches to the device in Taiwan. In addition, 4×4 MIMO support is also bundled with the update package.

The minor update carrying the software version number 1.28.709.6 apart from the above mentioned notable changelog. It brings fixes for certain bugs and improves overall performance of the HTC U11.

As same of you might know. The 4×4 MIMO(Multiple input Multiple output) technology is employed to enhance the LTE network speed and stability. So, once this update is installed on your U11. You could experience an improvement while surfing the web. However, since the MIMO is supported only for FarEaseTone and Taiwan Mobile service providers. Only the above two carrier users can utilise the feature on their HTC U11.
