Day before yesterday, we posted about how an official from Huawei confirmed that their next flagship, the Ascend Mate 7 will be boasting of a sapphire display. Huawei without wasting any time confirmed it yesterday that the device indeed will be sporting the sapphire display which makes it a competitor to Apple’s upcoming flagship, the iPhone 6 as these are the only devices in the circuit right now confirmed to have a sapphire display. Other than this, Huawei did not divulge any details on the Ascend Mate 7 but that has just changed today as we have two images of the device in the wild.
The images, as you can see above show the device in its full glory with a photo each of its front and back panel. On the front, you’re greeted by a 6″ 1080p screen with bezels that are not very thick, with the screen taking up most of the space. The back panel is made of metal and carries the 13 MP snapper and an LED flash right next to it. Also below the camera is a finger print scanner.
Under the hood lies a Kirin 920 chipset (octa-core CPU, Mali-T625MP4 GPU).
The Acsend Mate7 is scheduled for its unveiling at the IFA in September on the 4th. Stay tuned for the coverage.
