If you expect Samsung to bring the first smartphone with a camera hole on the display, then you might be proved wrong. Since Huawei seems to have jumped the gun and probably will launch an in-display camera smartphone a little before than Samsung. A new teaser posted by Huawei features a mysterious device with a hole on the display.
From the teaser, the unspecified device is slated to see the light of the day in December. On the same month, Samsung is also speculated to come with the Galaxy A8s. Its first device featuring the Infinity-O display. It has to be seen who’ll be the first to come with such technology, although all the bets are for Huawei.
Apart from the camera hole hint, nothing much about the device is revealed by the teaser. However, the tech watchdogs predict it to be the new generation Nova Series phone with the moniker either Nova 4 or Nova 3S. It’s expected to be a high-end device probably with the latest Kirin 980 processor at its heart. Needless to say, the device would have a high screen-to-body ratio.
Seems the new hole in the display technology will quickly botch the notch trend which was first introduced by Essential Phone and later popularized by the Apple iPhone X. Well, what you guys think of the Infinity-Oesque displays in smartphones? Does it look more appealing than the current notches? Whatever may be your likings, let us know in the comment section below.
