Nokia seems all set to gain its lost momentum by releasing some budget Android devices in the initial phase. Just a couple of months ago, Nokia unveiled three mid-range smartphones namely, Nokia 3, Nokia 5 and Nokia 6. The most recent rumors suggest that the company is now planning to release Nokia 2 as its most affordable android smartphone. It has been two weeks when we came across some leaked images along with rumored specs of the upcoming entry-level handset.
Lately, it has been reported that the device tagged with model number TA-1029 has cleared FCC certification. While the FCC certification only reveals a list of SAR values and other technical details, it has nothing to offer what a layman generally wants to get hold of.
However, earlier rumors claim that Nokia 2 will be powered by the low-end Snapdragon 212 quad core processor clocked at 1.3GHz with Adreno 304 GPU. The device comes with only 1GB of RAM and 8GB of internal storage.
The smartphone may feature a 4.5-inch 720p display with an 8-megapixel rear camera and 5-megapixel selfie shooter. We might see a decent 2,400-2,600 mAh battery that seems quite sufficient to power this low-end smartphone.
Nokia is holding a launch event on August 16 where the company is expected to unveil Nokia 8 as its first Android flagship device. We assume that Nokia may release Nokia 2 along side its flagship offering. We will bring you more details about Nokia’s upcoming launch event on August 16.
