Samsung Galaxy Note 9

After an innumerable amount of leaks and rumors Samsung Galaxy Note 9 is finally official now and has been announced in an event at New York. Considering its design, at first glance it doesn’t appear to be a major upgrade over the pre-existing Galaxy Note 8. The key reason why a person invests in a Note-series device is the stylus capability. This time the stylus has been refined and overall, the device seems to be a hit or miss. Galaxy Note 9 comes powered by a Snapdragon 845 chip coupled with an Adreno 630 GPU/Exynos 9810 processor coupled with a Mali-G72MP18 GPU. The version user will get depends upon the regions he/she belongs to. The smartphone will be made available in two variants: 6GB LPDDR4X RAM/128GB ROM/8GB LPDDR4X RAM/512GB ROM, fortunately, the device supports expandable storage up to 512GB’s. The device will come with Android 8.1 Oreo out of the box, however, a user can soon expect the Android P update to arrive.

In the front, it has a massive 6.4(inch) Quad-HD+ Super AMOLED Display with a resolution of 2960 x 1440 pixels and protection of Gorilla Glass has also been provided. Galaxy Note 9 sports a 12MP(variable Aperture f/2.4-f/1.5)+12MP(Aperture f/2.4) Dual-Camera setup in the rear whereas in the front an 8MP AF Wide-Angle Selfie Camera is there with Aperture f/1.7. The Camera setup is quite identical to that of the Galaxy S9+ and can take 960FPS Slo-mo as well. Samsung has provided an IP68 rating for the device which means there is no need to fear Dust and Water.

For great audio experience, Galaxy Note 9 has AKG tuned Stereo speakers and Dolby Atmos. The device comes with almost all possible sensors and features all connectivity options including NFC, GPS, Bluetooth v5, USB 3.1, 4G VoLte, Wi-Fi, etc. It houses an enormous 4000mAh battery which is the biggest of all Samsung present flagships and additionally it supports Wireless Fast Charging. This time the Stylus offers Bluetooth functionality which can work under the range of 10 meters and can charge automatically when kept under the device. The stylus can now act as a remote for clicking images and it also offers pressure sensitivity through the only switch: Short Press, Long Press, and Doubly Press.

Samsung Galaxy Note 9 would be made available in Midnight Black, Lavender Purple, Metallic Copper, and Ocean Blue color options. The device is priced at $999.99(68,000 INR roughly) for 6GB RAM version whereas for the top-end 8GB variant one has to spend $1249.99(86,000 INR roughly).
