But, now several American Carrier bound users are complaining about the missing texts in their devices. Either they receive texts after a long time or receive none at all. This issue is present in both the standard Galaxy S8 and Galaxy S8 plus. Users have experienced this issue on AT&T, Verizon, T-Mobile and Sprint.

Thus, it is not a single carrier issue. Probably, the problem is in the devices itself. The issue is not limited to Default Messaging App, it is also present in other messaging apps such as Android Messages and Textra too. If the issue was limited to single carrier or app, it would have been easy to understand the cause.

Users took the issue to Reddit by creating a mega thread. They are sharing their own opinions to fix the issue such as disabling WiFi calling and Advanced Messaging. However, that didn’t solve the issue. Samsung still didn’t provide any infomation regarding the issue yet. Users are hoping that they will get the fix soon.
