Well, here’s monetization option that Niantic is going to opt for Pokemon Go. They are going to introduce Pokemon Go with sponsored locations.
So, it’s already making a ton of money, but it’s going to be making even more in the not too distant future. Lot of money is going to flow into the Niantic pockets. So, if this gonna happen, than it is going to be the first of it’s kind of monetisation.
In an interview to Financial times, Chief Executive John Hanke told, “There is a second component to our business model at Niantic, which is this concept of sponsored locations.”
As per the conversation it seems that in Pokémon Go, advertisers would be charged for every customer visiting a store, as confirmed by the app.
