The cloud based Telegram Messenger is a powerful instant messenger loved by the masses. With over 100M+ downloads registered on Google Play Store, it has become quite a staple app on every devices out there. Now, the German based messenger has turned six years old connecting the users all around the globe with fun and intuitive features.
Telegram was first introduced on 2013. To be precise the first public version of Telegram was released on iOS platform in August 14, 2013. It took two more months for the Telegram developers to bring it to our beloved Android platform. That happened in October 2013 as a result of contest for Android developers, when the alpha version of Telegram for Android was officially launched.
As in the case with every initial release of a product, Telegram back then was a mere barebone instant messenger. All those advanced features such as stickers, polls, dark mode were no where to be seen if take a look at the initial versions. Well, over the years, Telegram has evolved, sustained, and become one of the powerful and feature-packed cross-platform enabled messaging app for smartphones. It’d take us a long to pen down all the major milestones happened in the history of Telegram.
