Android Go devices are getting more and more famed day by day and there is a valid reason for their existence as well. Android Go devices have been developed for the entry-level users who want the latest software but can’t pay the massive price for that. Android Go is an optimized version of Android Oreo and its set of applications that Google provide is also tweaked to work on low powered hardware. Some latest news is coming in favor of the devices, as per the facts now you can install LineageOS 15.1 on your Android Go smartphone, so let’s know more about it.

Generally, Android Go devices come powered by Android 8.1 Oreo out of the box, however, they are 32 bit ARM-based and in this department, they lack. Since the devices running Android Oreo falls under the project Treble so on these devices we can use Generic System Images as long as it supports the device. A well-recognized developer from XDA named “phhusson” has just developed the Unofficial Lineage OS 15.1 for the Android Go series of devices.

It is a great achievement for the whole community as we haven’t seen something like this previously for the Android Go devices. It comprises Android Go optimized apps and is also fully tweaked to work on a low powered hardware. The ROM provides a ton of customized features for which LineageOS is known.
