verizon sold 2.9 million android phones in q2 2012

Verizon does it again. ya they sold about 2.9 Million Android Phones in Q2 2012. On the hand it dropped sales to 2.7 Million on iPhone which is less than Androidians. In Q1 Verizon sold 3.2 million iPhones, which is half a million more than Q2 2012. Means Apple’s iPhone is struggling now to make space. Some figures we thrashed out :

  • 50 percent of Verizon’s postpaid base is smartphones, up 13 percentage points from this time last year.
  • About 7 percent of smartphone owners upgraded their devices in the second quarter.
  • For the quarter, 2.9 million Android phones were activated, 2.5 million of which were 4G LTE
  • Activated 2.7 million iPhones in the quarter, up from 2.3 million a year ago

If new iPhone launch with LTE than these figures might change in respect to iPhone says market analysts but its upto consumers and on new iPhone. So wait and watch.
