Xiaomi Hong Kong IPO

Xiaomi India today announced an increase in the prices of their certain products as a result of the poor performance of Indian Rupee in the past months. The smartphones affected with the price hike include the recently launched Redmi 6 and 6A. India’s No.1 smartphone company has also elevated the prices of two of the Mi LED TV’s and a Mi Power Bank.

The bitter news for the Mi fans came directly from the Mi India Twitter handle where the company has posted a notice acknowledging the price hike. In fact, this is the second time the firm is increasing the price of certain products after their launch. Recall the price hike that hit the World’s most selling device, Redmi 5A ( + other products too) earlier in Q1 of this year.

The budget smartphones Redmi 6 and 6A will be dearer by ₹ 500 and ₹ 600 respectively than their launch price hereafter. See the below chart for knowing the revised costs of the all price hiked Mi Products. The revised pricing will go on action starting from tonight at 11:59 p.m onwards.

Xioami is always known for making excellent value for the price products. Perhaps, this slight price increase necessarily won’t make those products less valuable though. However, there should be some loyal Mi fans who should be dejected by the company’s intermittent price hiking regime. Well, what you guys have to say regarding the news?
