If roughly taken, five days from now Xiaomi will be taking wraps off its next mid-ranger Xiaomi Mi 6X in China. While we’re already aware of major specifications of the device courtesy to a previously leaked firmware. Xiaomi has now teased the capability of 20 MP selfie-camera that the device will sport.
The Chinese firm through its official weibo account has shared couple of portrait photos taken with the Mi 6X. Just for showcasing the Portrait Mode and DSLR-like blur that the camera sensor can impart. Basically, the images featured six of the Xiaomi workers each of them standing in different lighting condition and environment.
For a normal eye, the photos are appealing with the portrait mode doing its job quite decently. In fact, the Mi 6X camera was successful in distinguishing the subject from background on all of the sample stills. Edges are sharp and the blurring seems to be natural and brilliant from just a lone front camera. Well, in reality the situation may be different since teasers are sometimes misleading. Hence be skeptical in approach.
Nevertheless, the performance ought to be par above standard since rumors have suggested that Xiaomi has put in Sony IMX376 image sensor with f/2.2 aperture for the front camera on Mi 6X. As an icing on the cake, a front-facing flash is also provided.
If everything happens as scheduled, the Xiaomi Mi 6X will be marking its entry to the Chinese market on April 25. Later, the same device will be re branded and launched globally as Android One backed – Mi A2.
