Xiaomi, the Apple of China is all set to bump up its offline presence in India for the first time. The move doesn’t come as a surprise as the company has been aggressively pushing to solidify its presence on Indian soil, especially offline, as a leading smartphone manufacturer.
The Mi Home Store will sell all the usual products like Power Banks, Headphones, Mi Band, Mi Air Purifier and probably smartphones.
Reports state that the first Mi Home Store as it is called will be opened in Bengaluru on May 11. It seems they are following on the lines of OnePlus which have launched offline experience store in Bangaluru. Other major cities are also going to get the retail outlets later in the future. Xiaomi India head, Manu Jain will do the honors of the inauguration. The company already has offline stores in China, Singapore, Hong Kong, and Taiwan.

Xiaomi’s meteoric rise to the top of the chain in a very short time has been exemplary and the company has brought great products to the mid-range smartphones segment reshaping the dynamics of the market in a very short time.
Recently Xiaomi was in the news for being the most preferred smartphone brand in India after Samsung. That is quite an achievement in a jam-packed market. A recent report from Strategy Analytics stated that Xiaomi has grown 125 percent year-on-year making it one of the fastest growing companies in the sector. The report goes on to point out that half of the Indian populace prefer to buy smartphones priced under Rs. 20,000 category while the premium segment above Rs. 35,000 is preferred by a very low six percent of the Indian audience.
